Nutrition-Label1Health Canada recently published proposed changes to the nutrition labeling regulations in Canada Gazette Part 1. Health Canada will be hosting a series of webinars detailing the proposed regulatory changes and to answer stakeholder questions.

The proposed changes will focus on various aspects of the Nutrition Facts table (NFt) and the list of ingredients including: mandating how serving sizes are to be declared, changes to the reference amounts, updates to the Daily Values, changes to the format and the list of core nutrients, changes to sugar labeling, legibility requirements for the list of ingredients, and changes to the way food colours are listed in the list of ingredients.

Multiple webinars are being held to discuss these changes, the same information will be presented at each webinar. Participants must pre-register for the webinar, as spaces are limited. If you are interested in registering please click your preferred time for a link to the registration form.
