This third annual Food for Change event, hosted by the York Region Food Charter Working Group  and partners including the York Region Food Network, a member of Sustain Ontario, will take place this Friday, April 4th, 2014 from 8:30 am – 2:00 pm at the Markham Convergence Centre (7271 Warden Avenue, Markham). Time is almost up to register so act fast!

Food for Change: Talking Trash explores the impact of food waste on our communities, and includes a light breakfast and lunch. The event will include presentations from researchers from the University of Guelph, York Region policymakers and practitioners that will examine the implications of food waste on health, environmental sustainability and social justice. Although this is a free event, open to all, spaces are limited, so you must register early to avoid disappointment. You may register on-line or by phoning the York Region Food Network at 905-841-3101 ext. 206.
